1980 Rubik's Cube Popularity Explodes
The Rubik's Cube was originally invented in 1974, but reached the peak of it's popularity in 1980. It was invented by Hungarian Professor Emo Rubik.
It was a puzzle game, where the object was to match up all the colors on every side. This was one 80's toy that really pissed me off, I could never solve it.
People were fascinated by this square 3 dimensional puzzle. Rubik's became a standard to measure one's intelligence. I guess this makes me a dunce.
When a friend of mine came over to show me he solved mystery of the Rubik's , I was amazed at what a genius he was.
